Insect control covers the full range of treatments designed to eliminate harmful insects from a home, a business, or an industrial site, and then to prevent their return. At MHS Hygiène 3D, our trained technicians operate 7 days a week throughout Tunisia — in Tunis, Sfax, Sousse, and across every governorate — using approved products and backed by a results guarantee. As a company approved by the Tunisian Ministry of Public Health, we always begin with a precise assessment, then tailor the method (bait gel, spraying, or steam) to the targeted species and the environment to be treated.
Cockroaches
Signs: insects visible mainly at night, small droppings appearing as black specks, a distinctive odor, presence near sources of heat and moisture (kitchen, bathroom, behind appliances). The German cockroach hides in the smallest crevices.
Treatment: application of bait gel at strategic points (baseboards, cabinet hinges, behind the refrigerator), supplemented if needed by a residual spray in the areas the insects travel through. A discreet method that does not require emptying the rooms entirely.
Bed bugs — two-visit treatment, guaranteed
Signs: bites in a line upon waking, small black spots on the seams of the mattress and box spring, blood stains on the sheets, whitish eggs tucked into corners.
Treatment: a treatment carried out over two visits to cover the reproductive cycle. We combine dry steam (the high temperature destroys both adults and eggs) with a spray of approved insecticide on the seams, box spring, baseboards, and cracks. The second visit targets the eggs that hatch after the first treatment. Our results guarantee provides for a free second visit if necessary.
Mosquitoes (including the tiger mosquito and larval breeding sites)
Signs: the noise nuisance and bites, nocturnal activity for the common mosquito and daytime activity for the tiger mosquito, proliferation near stagnant water.
Treatment: a two-stage approach. We first eliminate the larval breeding sites (saucers, gutters, drainage chambers, water points) with a larvicide, then apply an adulticide by spraying on vegetation and resting areas. Removing stagnant water remains the best form of prevention.
Ants
Signs: steady trails along walls and baseboards, presence in the kitchen around sugary foods, nests visible outdoors or beneath floor coverings.
Treatment: a specific bait gel that worker ants carry back to the nest to eliminate the entire colony, supplemented by a barrier spray at entry points. Treating the nest, and not just the visible ants, is the key to a lasting result.
Fleas
Signs: bites concentrated on the lower legs, pets scratching themselves, small jumping insects in rugs and fabrics.
Treatment: a floor-level spray (rugs, carpets, baseboards, pet bedding, and the animals' resting areas) after prior vacuuming. Treatment of the home is coordinated with the animal's care by a veterinarian in order to break the cycle.
Wasps & hornets
Signs: a nest visible under a roof, in a tree, or in a cavity, a constant coming and going of insects, a risk of stings for the occupants.
Treatment: destruction of the nest by insecticide injection, carried out with suitable protective equipment, preferably early in the morning or in the evening. Never attempt to destroy a nest on your own, especially in the case of hornets: the risk of multiple stings is real.
Insect control for professionals: kitchens, hospitality, HACCP
Restaurants, hotels, clinics, and food-processing industries call for heightened hygiene standards. We put in place pest management plans aligned with the HACCP approach: approved products compatible with food environments, treatment of sensitive areas (kitchens, storerooms, waste rooms), traceable service reports, and preventive maintenance contracts at regular intervals. In healthcare settings, our protocols take into account the sensitivity of the premises and the presence of vulnerable people.
Approved products and the safety interval
All our treatments rely on approved products, applied at the prescribed doses by trained technicians. Once the treatment is complete, your technician will tell you the safety interval to observe (the drying and ventilation time before re-entering or cleaning the treated areas). These instructions protect your family, your staff, and your pets while preserving the effectiveness of the treatment.
Pricing factors and quotes
The cost of insect control treatment depends on several factors:
- the type of insect and the level of infestation;
- the surface area and the layout of the premises;
- the number of visits required (two for bed bugs, for example);
- the accessibility of the areas to be treated;
- the context: a private individual or a professional subject to hygiene standards.
To find out the exact cost suited to your situation, the most reliable option is still an on-site assessment. MHS Hygiène 3D offers you a free quote and a prompt intervention, in Tunis, Sfax, Sousse, and everywhere in Tunisia. Contact us today for your free quote and enjoy a healthy environment once again.
